Traditional Recipe to cook Asturian Casadielles

Ingredients

  • 250 g of flour

  • 50 g of butter

  • 1 egg

  • 50 ml of sweet anise

  • 100 g of chopped walnuts

  • 100 g of sugar

  • Olive oil for frying

  • Icing sugar for sprinkling

Process

We mix the flour with the melted butter, the egg, and the sweet anise until obtaining a homogeneous dough.

We spread the dough on a floured surface and cut it into rectangles.

We fill each rectangle with chopped nuts and sugar, folding them into a turnover shape.

Fry in hot oil until golden.

Sprinkle with icing sugar before serving.
